Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had quite a sad impact on the social family and society, especially on daily workers. This situation starts from the economic impact and then spreads to the family, so that domestic violence occurs. Then how does the sociology of Islamic law view this? ?. This research is empirical qualitative and normative qualitative as well as monomonology. This research is a field research with the data sources are observation and documentation, while the approach and data analysis with qualitative descriptive methods. Domestic violence in the perspective of the sociology of Islamic law on five types of daily workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru City, that 55.44% can be said that domestic violence can occur from wife to husband and from children to parents, while 75.74% said that domestic violence what happens from wife to husband and from children to parents, can also be said (unlawful) and or sin. Next, 54.45% of domestic violence occurred in the households of daily workers due to COVID-19. As for the causes of domestic violence, 65.34% were economic and financial problems, the solution for domestic violence that occurred 85.64% was done in a peaceful and familial way, even though 83.66% were still silent while waiting for a truly peaceful heart and soul.
