STUDI KOMPARASI ATAS PESAN-PESAN DAMAI DALAM AL-QUR’AN DAN TRIPITAKA: TAWARAN PENDIDIKAN MORAL ATAS KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA

Abstract

Several recent surveys have shown an increase in radicalism and intolerant attitudes, especially in cases that are in the name of religion. This research aims to make interfaith dialogue efforts by comparing the messages of peace in the Qur'an and Tripitaka as an effort to reduce intolerant attitudes. This research is a literature research by using descriptive-comparative method in comparing the messages of peace in al-Qur'an and Tripitaka. The results of this study show that there are similarities and differences in the descriptions of the messages of peace in both scriptures as their characteristics. The Tripitaka scriptures are more focused on paying attention to aspects of one's inner management, while the Qur'an is more likely to discuss the practical aspects of life in order to educate the community for the creation of a harmonious life.
