Abstract

Children's numeracy skills are still low, especially in understanding number symbols and their sequences, numbering according to order, and sorting according to number symbols. This ability must be completed immediately, because it becomes the basis for further numeracy skills. The low ability to sort numbers is improved through the application of the traditional game of snakes and ladders which is fun for children. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in TK Arrohmaniyah NW Senyiur class B with 15 subjects. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, action, observation, as well as evaluation and reflection. The criteria for completeness are 70% of children have reached 60% of the ability to count. Collecting data using observation and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed a gradual increase from each meeting and cycle. In the first cycle there was an increase, but it was not optimal. The average ability of children increased to 49%, from the previous 32%. Children still need the help of teachers. In cycle 2, the rules of the game were changed to playing in groups. Children's numeracy increased to 68%. This increase is also due to the fact that children are increasingly understanding the rules of the game, and helping each other when someone is still confused.
